Diljit’s first album came out at 16 and his father was a driver in the Punjab Roadways. Success seems easy but boy, he struggled his way out to cut his first album at 16!
Mr Balvir Boprai, who worked with a record company based in Ludhiana, is a famous singer and composer. He fondly recalls the first time he met Diljit as a 16 year old boy. “He didn’t have a beard, but was very good at Bhangra, had fantastic rhythm and tied his turban really well.”
When his first album ‘Ishq Da Uda Ada’ came out, he was just 16. By the time he turned 17, he was high in demand at every music show and wedding with a fee of Rs 50,000/-.
The handsome goofy-smile-turbaned singer recently revealed in ‘the Ranveer Allahbadia Show’ that he had a strained relationship with his parents. When he was just 11 years old, his parents sent him to live with his uncle for a better standard of living. He wanted to stay, did not want to go and it resulted in his bitter relationship with his parents for years.
Although he revealed that all is better now and he has sorted things with his parents, but ah yes, Scars stay!!! Maybe that is the reason why he is so stubborn about guarding his personal life and family and likes to live an intimate life away from the media gaze.

The tickets of Diljit Dosanjh North American concert ‘Dil-Luminati-tour’ sold out within an hour of its release. In fact, last year, he was the first international star who performed at Coachella and had a massively successful collaboration with international pop-star, Sia and Ed Sheeren.
