On 29th March, Kareena’s new movie, Crew created a history of Day 1 Worldwide Gross of 20.07 Crore, being the highest opening day grosser for any female lead Hindi film ever. Meanwhile, the actress is preparing for her debut in the South Cinema-bilingual film, Toxic. Regarding the same, an interesting update has now come forth.
Revealed – Kareena Kapoor’s Toxic Role
Until now, with the looming news of the film, it was perceived that the actress would be playing Yash’s romantic interest. But the recent Bollywood Hungama update made us realise that that’s, not the case. According to the sources, it has been confirmed that Kareena and the KGF star will play siblings in the film. Instead, Kiara Advani will be playing Yash’s leading lady. Although Kareena is not playing the love interest, reports say her character is more powerful in the Kannada bilingual project. Geetu Mohandas is directing the film.
The sources’ quote reads, “It is basically a brother-sister story with Yash and Kareena playing inseparable siblings. The director was keen to have Kareena on board in Toxic from the inception of the project. Negotiations were on. Everyone presumed Kareena was being brought into the project as Yash’s leading lady when in fact Kareena was offered a far more powerful role. She has never been seen like this before.”
