After Ayodhya’s Ram Temple, Hindus worldwide are exhilarated for the grand opening of the BAPS Mandir Abu Dhabi. Let's get to know some fascinating facts about this grand temple.

On February 14, Prime Minister Modi, alongside His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, the sixth and present spiritual guru of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, will inaugurate the grand BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi.

The BAPS Hindu Mandir is the first Hindu temple in the United Arab Emirates, and the biggest one in the West Asia.

The founding stone of the temple was laid out by Indian Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi in 2018.

The BAPS (Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha) sampradaya, known for their deep reverence for Bhagwan Swaminarayan, an avatar of Lord Krishna, is spearheading the construction of this magnificent mandir in the UAE.

This grand temple required almost 40,000 cubic feet of marble, 180,000 cubic feet of sandstone, and over 1.8 million bricks.

Crafted by skilled Indian artisans, each corner and crevice of the temple is made from the pink stones sourced from Rajasthan, and white marble from Macedonia.

The BAPS Mandir Abu Dhabi sprawls across 27 acres, and the tallest shikhar reaches a height of 108 feet.

Within the Mandir, over 150 sensors are installed around the structure, for providing real-time data for both research and safety.

In the construction of the mandir, over 50,000 individuals, including top Indian ministers, foreign diplomats, Indian celebrities, and many more, have contributed by laying bricks.

This temple is poised to become a spiritual landmark in the Middle East. Its fine architecture, adorned with intricate motifs and exuding grandeur, promises to captivate the hearts of visitors.
