Holi is everyone's favourite festival. and rightly so, what starts as a white canvas is smeared with vibrant colours, gujiyas, and not to forget, the flavourful bhang that takes everything up a notch.
Oil up your skin and hair with a lightweight oil like argan or almond oil to create a protective barrier. A thick coat of SPF on your face and body is not something you want to forget
Lightly oil your hair and secure in an effortless hairstyle. You want to play without your tresses coming in the way and also, protect your hair while you do that. Imagine a loose bun, braid or play around with a bandana.
Put on a pair of sunglasses. You don't want to catch an infection or colour/ other irritants into your eyes. Plus, it's an added accessory, so it's a win-win situation!
As soon as you get home, the first thing to do (yes, even before you gorge onto that plate of aloo puri) is quickly lther your body in some coconut oil. This will help it taking off the colours quickly and also ease out any tough stains
Now, in the shower, for your hair, wash it with a sulphate free shampoo thoroughly. Deep condition because that is what's going to give your back the moisture you just lost. For your body, gently scrub off any colour. Remember to not be harsh with your skin because believe us, it will take you seconds to develop a rash after all that mishandling. Pay attention to your nail cuticles, nape of the neck and behind the ear area while cleaning and lastly, finish off with another layer of thick moisturiser or a light oil to nourish yoour skin
