Every year on April 22, the world observes World Earth Day, a movement aimed at promoting environmental conservation and motivating action to protect the earth. Since its start in the United States in 1970, it has expanded to become the world’s largest civic commemoration, bringing together more than 190 countries and over a billion people.
This day reminds us that we all share responsibility for the Earth, which is more than just our home. Earth Day encourages group efforts and daily acts to guarantee everybody a better, greener future, from combating climate change and lowering pollution to preserving biodiversity and advancing sustainability.
