- Peel and thinly slice 1 whole garlic bulb.
- Remove the spinach leaves from the stem. You only need 15-20 leaves. Stack them together, fold and chop into ribbons.
Note: Do not start the preparation until you have received your prawns.
- After your prawns have arrived, follow the below steps:
- Rinse the prawns in water and remove the veins.
- In a vessel, pour water and add salt and turmeric powder (in moderation).
- Add the prawns to the mixture and keep it for 5 minutes. Then drain the water.
- Add salt, turmeric powder and chili powder (in moderation) to the prawns and set it aside for 5 minutes.
Recipe of Prawn Gravy
- In a kadhai, add butter and start pan-frying the prawns (use a moderate amount of butter)
- Fry each side of the prawns for 10-15 seconds max
- After frying the prawns, add more butter to the same kadhai and add sliced garlic, chopped onion, and black pepper
- Keep frying until the onion turns brown
- Add tomatoes and spinach
- Add salt and turmeric
- After frying the garlic, onion, tomatoes and spinach, add some milk or coconut milk and keep stirring. After some time, add some more milk and keep stirring. (If you are skeptical about adding milk, you can ignore it)
- Then add grated cheese. Start by grating 3 cubes, add some water and keep stirring
- Taste the gravy and adjust by adding more cheese or salt
- Finally, add the fried prawns
