Who is Nayab Singh Saini?

Nayab Singh Saini, an elected Member of Parliament from Kurukshetra and a prominent figure from the Other Backward Classes (OBC) community, has been actively involved in the BJP’s political activities in Haryana since 1996. He gradually rose through the ranks within the party, starting as a member of the state general secretary until 2000.

Saini’s dedication and commitment to the party led to various leadership positions. He served as the district general secretary of the BJP Youth Wing in Ambala in 2002, later becoming the district president in 2005. Over the years, he held significant roles such as the state general secretary of the BJP Kisan Morcha in Haryana in 2009 and the district president of Ambala BJP in 2012.

A significant milestone in his political career came in 2014 when he won the Legislative Assembly election from the Narayangarh constituency. Subsequently, he was appointed as a minister in the Haryana government in 2016.

Background and Education

Born on January 25, 1970, in Mezapur Majra village in Ambala district, Nayab Singh Saini hails from a farming family. He pursued his LLB from Chaudhary Charan Singh University in Meerut and also obtained education from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Bihar University in Muzaffarpur, Bihar.

Nayab Singh Saini’s close association with Manohar Lal Khattar, the former Chief Minister, played a pivotal role in his political trajectory. His recent elevation as the Chief Minister of Haryana comes as no surprise, given his longstanding affiliation and trust within the party.
