According to Forbes Billionaires List 2024, Brazilian student Livia Voigt is the youngest billionaire in the world.
She is the youngest billionaire in history, having amassed a net worth of $1.1 billion at the age of just 19.
The largest individual shareholder in WEG, the biggest producer of electrical motors in Latin America, is Livia Voigt.
Her grandpa Werner Ricardo Voigt, the late billionaires Geraldo Werninghaus and Eggon Joao da Silva, and Werner Ricardo Voigt cofounded WEG.
The company’s website defines itself as, “WEG provides global solutions for electric motors, variable frequency drives, soft starters, controls, panels, transformers, and generators.”
Livia is currently enrolled in a Brazilian University for further studies; she is not yet an executive or board member of WEG.
Livia, alongside her elder sister Dora Voigt de Assis, is one of the seven new names on the 2024 list of youngest billionaires, having a net worth of $1.1 billion. Dora, 26, graduated in 2020 with a degree in architecture.
Forbes says that despite her fortune, Livia is still committed to her education and is a current university student.
