Air India Express to Launch Direct Flights Connecting Ayodhya to Bengaluru and Kolkata

Air India Express has announced the commencement of direct flights connecting Ayodhya to Bengaluru and Kolkata, starting January 17, 2024. This move aims to enhance connectivity to and from Ayodhya, providing convenient one-stop itineraries for pilgrims from South India and Eastern India.

The airline’s first flight on the Bengaluru-Ayodhya route is scheduled to take off on January 17 at 8.05 am, reaching Ayodhya at 10.35 am. The return flight will depart from Ayodhya at 3.40 pm, arriving in Bengaluru at 6.10 pm. Similarly, on the Ayodhya-Kolkata route, the flight will depart from Ayodhya at 11.05 am and land in Kolkata at 12.50 pm. The Kolkata-Ayodhya flight is set to depart from Kolkata at 1:25 pm, touching down in Ayodhya at 3.10 pm.

Air India Express’s Chief Commercial Officer, Ankur Garg, expressed the airline’s commitment to expanding connectivity throughout India. He highlighted the significance of Bengaluru and Kolkata as pivotal hubs in their network, serving as gateways to Ayodhya. This move is expected to offer pilgrims from South India and Eastern India more convenient travel options.

The airline made history by initiating Varanasi-Sharjah flights, marking the first international connection for Varanasi. With a weekly schedule of 21 flights, Air India Express connects the sacred city of Varanasi to Bengaluru and Sharjah. Moreover, the airline offers 60 weekly flights from Lucknow, linking the capital city of Uttar Pradesh to Dubai and prominent Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Pune.
