New Delhi, February 4, 2024: Officials from the Delhi Crime Branch paid a visit to the residence of Delhi minister Atishi on Sunday. The purpose of their visit was to deliver a notice in connection to allegations suggesting that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been making attempts to lure Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs.

Sources indicate that Atishi was not present at her residence during the visit. However, her office staff accepted the notice on her behalf, following instructions from the minister, as reported by AAP sources. A senior officer from the Delhi Police Crime Branch mentioned, “The team will make another attempt to serve the notice to Atishi. She was not present at her residence this morning.”

This notice to Atishi follows a similar one served to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal the previous day. The notice requested a response from Kejriwal within three days regarding his claims that the BJP attempted to attract seven AAP MLAs.

On January 27, both Kejriwal and Atishi made public allegations against the BJP, accusing the party of trying to lure AAP MLAs with offers of Rs 25 crore each and a ticket to contest in the upcoming assembly polls. The alleged motive behind these attempts was reported to be an effort to overthrow the AAP government.

The BJP promptly dismissed these allegations as “false” and “baseless,” challenging the Chief Minister to provide evidence supporting his claims.

In a separate event scheduled for later today, both Kejriwal and Atishi are set to lay the foundation stones of two schools in Rohini. This development adds a significant dimension to the ongoing political tensions between the AAP and BJP in the region.

This ongoing controversy will likely have a significant impact on the political landscape in Delhi, and further developments are awaited in the coming days.
