In India, the Eid-ul-Fitr 2024 date depends on the visibility of the Moon. This year, in India, there will be a Solar Eclipse ( Surya Grahan) on 8 April 2024 night, which will go on till 01:15 am on April 9. So, the weather will be cloudy on April 10. 

Hence, as per predictions, you’ll be able to see the Moon on the eve of April 10, 2024. And if this happens, India will celebrate Eid-ul-fitr 2024 on April 11, 2024. This slight variation in the date will potentially extend the fasting period of Ramadan to 30 days instead of 29 days. 

Eid-ul-Fitr 2024: Chand Raat in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Other Nations

In Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, Turkey, Iran, and the United Kingdom, Chand Raat will fall on April 9, 2024. So, these countries will celebrate Eid on April 10 2024, a day before India will do.

The date of Chand Raat depends on the visibility of the Moon, so it may slightly differ from April 8 to April 9 across nations, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, Turkey, Iran, the United Kingdom, and Pakistan.
