Best New Netflix Movies – April 2024

People have been excitedly awaiting the release of new Netflix titles for the entire month. This April, Netflix has a ton of excellent movies, documentaries, and comedy specials to choose from, including both new and historical films making their premieres. However, two in particular stood out above the rest. These are this month’s top new Netflix films.

Scoop (Releasing on April 5th): Netflix Film

The 2019 BBC interview with Prince Andrew (Rufus Sewell), called the “scoop of the decade,” was the subject of negotiations between journalist Emily Maitlis (Gillian Anderson) and the Buckingham Palace establishment. The film Scoop is a dramatic retelling of this story. The film shows the pivotal interview that explored Andrew’s relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein (Rufus Sewell), as well as the backstage activities that led up to this moment on television. Watch it exclusively on Netflix when it launches this month.

Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver (Releasing on April 19th): Netflix Film

With the arrival of the second and last chapter in his epic space opera Rebel Moon trilogy, Zack Snyder is completing the story he began in December. Second Part of Rebel Moon: In The Scargiver, we watch as Kora (Sofia Boutella), a former Imperium soldier, and the other rebel warriors who are still alive, sift through their souls and hone their talents in order to fight the vicious Motherworld enemy forces and protect the moon of Veldt. You won’t want to miss this pivotal battle, in which heroes will emerge from the ashes and long-lasting legacies will be forced.

Ripley (Releasing on April 4th): Netflix Series

This Netflix Original psychological thriller limited series is based on Patricia Highsmith’s 1955 novel The Talented Mr. Ripley, is set in 1960s New York and revolves around grifter Tom Ripley (Andrew Scott), who is hired by a wealthy man to persuade his pampered son Dickie Greenleaf (Johnny Flynn) to come back home. But as soon as Tom gets a taste of Dickie’s easygoing lifestyle in Italy, he starts to go down a dark path that leads to deceit, fraud, and even—gasp—murder. Watch the action unfold in Ripley in April.

Baby Reindeer (Releasing on April 11th): Netflix Series

Baby Reindeer is a British comedy-drama series that centers on a struggling Scottish comedian named Donny Dunn (played by Richard Gadd), and his strange and complicated connection with a vulnerable woman named Martha (Jessica Gunning). The show is based on the startling real-life experience of Gadd, the creator and star of the program. A deep fixation begins when Donny, who is working a bartending shift, acts kindly toward Martha; the obsession threatens to destroy both of their lives. This month, stream Baby Reindeer on Netflix to experience the entire crazy journey.
