Jai Mata Di! As promised, after Navratri 2024 day 1, we’re back with Navratri day 2 as part of our series of 9 days of Chaitra Navrtari 2024. Day 2 of Navratri is the day of worshipping Maa Brahmacharini, who has the power to end Mangal dosh in your horoscope.

She is the goddess of knowledge and is a symbol of purity. Read more to know the right ways to worship her on Navratri day 2.

10 April 2024 is the second day of Chaitra Navratri 2024 and it is the day of Maa Brahmacharini as the second form of Maa Durga. Maa Brahmacharini is worshipped for her gentleness, purity, sacrifices, calmness and strong will power.

As per Hindu scriptures, Maa Brahamcharini, also known as Maa Tapascharini, is the embodiment of Devi Sati. Maa Parvati performed extreme penance for several to marry Lord Shiva. It was only due to her unbreakable will power that her will to marry Lord Shiva could come true. wears a white saree and has lotus flower attached to her body. In her left hand, she carries a Kamandalam and from her right hand, she chants the beads of her rosary.

If you worship Maa Brahmacharini on Navratri day 2-

  • Mangal Dosh will be removed from your Kundali ( Horoscope);
  • you’ll develop a strong sense of will power;
  • you’ll not panic easily and will stay calm in most difficult situations;
  • you’ll be able to discover your righteous path in life;
  • you’ll develop strong virtues like self-control, penance, celibacy and renunciaction.

To attain maximum benefit and blessings from Maa Brahmacharini-

  • Wear white clothes and offer lotus flowers to Maa Durga idol in the temple;
  • Chant the Maa Brahmacharini mantra given below
  • Make ‘kheer‘ ( Rice-milk pudding), or other white-colored sweets for Puja;
  • After the Maa Brahmacharini Mantra, recite ch-2,3 and 4 of Durga Shaptasati path.
