Kolkata, February 10, 2024 : Veteran Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty was admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata after falling ill.
Chakraborty, known for his iconic roles in numerous films, including Disco Dancer and Agneepath, experienced severe chest pain and was immediately rushed to the hospital.
Upon admission to the hospital near EM bypass, Chakraborty was found to be in critical condition. Medical professionals attending to him reported that he seemed somewhat depressed, and an MRI scan was conducted to assess his physical state. As of now, the results of the scan are awaited.
The 73-year-old actor is currently under the care of neuromedicine specialist Dr. Sanjay Bhowmik and is placed in bed number 128 of the ICU ward. His condition remains a concern, with reports suggesting weakness in certain parts of his body.
