Santoshi Durga : An Autopsy Assistant from Chhattisgarh Gets Invitation to Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha

January 14, 2024 : Narharpur, Chhattisgarh: Santoshi Durga, a 35-year-old autopsy assistant from Narharpur, has been extended a special invitation by the Ram Mandir Trust to attend the Pran Pratistha program of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya on January 22. Ms. Durga, who has conducted over 700 postmortems during her 18-year tenure as a sanitation worker at the Narharpur Primary Health, expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the unexpected honor.

The invitation, which came as a pleasant shock to Santoshi Durga, has left her overwhelmed with joy. Reflecting on the unexpected turn of events, she said, “Even in my whole life, I never thought that I would be called from Ayodhya, but Lord Ram has called me by sending an invitation letter.” Tears of happiness welled up in her eyes upon receiving the invitation.

Santoshi Durga plans to embark on her journey from Narharpur on January 18, attending the Pran Pratishtha program in Ayodhya. Her intention is to offer prayers for the happiness, peace, and progress of the people of Narharpur during the auspicious ceremony.

BMO Prashant Kumar Singh of Narharpur congratulated Ms. Santoshi, expressing pride in her receiving the invitation from Ayodhya. This recognition highlights her dedicated service in conducting postmortems and her valuable contributions to the community.

The Pran Pratistha ceremony, scheduled for January 22, will witness the enshrinement of Ram Lalla at the sanctum-sanctorum of the Ram Temple. Notably, invitees include civilian award recipients, retired Chief Justices of the Supreme Court, and family members of Kar Sevaks who sacrificed their lives during the Ram Temple movement. Lawyers who represented Ram Lalla during the legal battle are also among the invitees.

The inclusive guest list encompasses individuals from diverse backgrounds, including Hindu saints, leaders from Nepal’s saint community, representatives from Jain, Buddhist, and Sikh communities, and notable personalities from various fields. The ceremony will be attended by awardees such as Nobel Prize, Bharat Ratna, Paramveer Chakra, and Padma Awards recipients, up to three retired Chief Justices of the Supreme Court, former heads of the army’s tri-services, retired ambassadors, administrative officers, intellectuals, athletes, and leaders of major political parties.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has meticulously arranged the ceremony to enthrone Ram Lalla, marking a historic moment in the construction of the Ram Temple. Santoshi Durga’s unexpected invitation adds a touch of diversity to the event, emphasizing the inclusive spirit of this monumental occasion.
