Kolkata, 11 Feb 2024 :Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty, who was recently admitted to Apollo Hospital in Kolkata following a stroke, has shown signs of improvement. According to a hospital official, the 73-year-old actor and BJP leader is now “quite stable.” Initially rushed to the hospital on Saturday due to severe chest pain, Chakraborty’s health condition has seen positive progress since then.
An official statement from the medical facility stated, “He is recuperating well, is fully conscious, well-oriented, active, and has consumed a soft diet. He will undergo certain investigations before his discharge.” The actor has undergone an MRI and various medical tests during his stay at the hospital.
BJP chief visits Mithun Chakraborty at the hospital in Kolkata
West Bengal BJP chief Sukanta Majumdar paid a visit to Mithun Chakraborty at the hospital a day after his admission. In a circulating online video, Chakraborty can be seen conversing with the political leader and others while receiving treatment. Despite being attached to drips, the veteran actor appeared engaged during the visit.

In January, Mithun Chakraborty was bestowed with the esteemed Padma Bhushan Award, a significant recognition of his contributions. In a heartfelt video message, the actor expressed profound gratitude, emphasizing the immense joy the award brought him.
